Christmas
in the Park took place in Milton Daniel Park, which is adjacent to Morrow City
Hall, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday,
December 1, 2007. Representatives from area churches and
non-profit organizations were in attendance at their Christmas themed displays
and exhibits. Choirs and musical groups
from area churches provided the entertainment for the day. Children had their pictures taken with Santa Claus. Children of all ages had the opportunity to
play in a “Winter Wonderland” made up of REAL
SNOW! At dusk, the city’s first “Singing Christmas
Tree” helped light Morrow’s Great Christmas Tree in front of Morrow City Hall.
Attendance exceeded 3,200 visitors.
Special thanks goes out to all of the churches,
organizations, and businesses that participated in the City of Morrow’s First Annual Christmas in the
Park. Thank you to all of the volunteers
that helped build displays, paint walls, baked cookies, stuffed bags, and spent
their time greeting visitors.
